Growing up is hard. It’s not just leaving the past behind us, it’s also remembering the journey endured to get here whilst the uncertainty of the future looms over us. As us ladies grow up, we are instantly shrunken. Through the media, through society, through our Nans Christmas dinner. Everywhere it’s broadcasted that we need to comply, to conform, to change – constantly being pressured to achieve a standard that is simply unachievable. I hope that this corner of the internet can be a retreat from all of that noise for you, just as it is for me. Let it be a space of safety, a place where you feel seen and something to serve as a comfort whilst us SwirlGirlz learn to reclaim ourselves on this never ending journey of becoming.
